OHA Workforce Survey due May 31

The OHA board of directors has highlighted workforce as a strategic priority. As a crucial first step, OHA is initiating a comprehensive data collection process to understand each hospital's unique workforce needs. 

The OHA Workforce Survey was dispatched to all OHA member hospitals on May 2. The survey link was sent to the human resources leader listed in the OHA database. CEOs, CNOs, and CEO assistants received an email specifying the HR leader’s name to whom the survey tool was sent. Please inform Mia Johnston, OHA health policy and finance assistant, [email protected], if the survey needs to be sent to another staff member. The survey is due by Friday, May 31.

The next steps comprise aggregating statewide and regional data, including hard-to-fill positions, staffing vacancies, and incentives for recruitment and retention, to develop a report for hospitals that submitted the completed survey. The OHA Workforce Steering Committee will analyze the data and establish steps to reduce workforce challenges.
