Together OK to host Rally for Coverage at Capitol April 24

Posted on: 4/19/19

Oklahoma’s uninsured rate is among the highest in the U.S. This means that many of our friends and neighbors can’t see a doctor, get treatment for a chronic illness, or even fill a prescription. It doesn’t have to be this way. If Oklahoma expands access to coverage, more than 100,000 uninsured Oklahomans could get the health care they need.

Lawmakers have the power to join 37 other states in accepting federal funds to increase access to health coverage. Join Together OK at the Capitol, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., on Wednesday, April 24 to tell legislators: It’s time to expand health coverage in Oklahoma! Patti Davis, OHA president, will speak at 10:30 a.m. at the rally.

You can learn more at coverok.org. Together OK is a nonpartisan coalition of citizens working together to secure a robust future for our state. Together OK is primarily staffed and funded by Oklahoma Policy Institute, a non-profit, non-partisan Oklahoma think tank.
